On April.10.2007, Helan & WEO conducted a session for discussing "effect of stress upon Humans and especially on females". A German physiciatrist, Dr.Gelas explained those effects and how to avoid stress whilst facing the common daily problems.

On January.17.2007, Dr.Janan Qasim, Minister of Women affairs in Iraqi Kurdistan, paid a visit to Helan's office in Erbil.

On April.2.2007, Helan organized an art gallery for the work of the female prisoners in Erbil Women Prison. The art gallery included paintings, flowers, and some hand-made products. At the end of the gallery, incentive prizes were given to the participants.

On the occasion of Universal Children's day, gifts were presented to the children of Makhmoor on their day, and smiles were brought up to their faces.

During Ramadhan, on october.19.2006, Helan invited the children of the orphanage "Mali Khanda" to a feast, they were 50 in number. Deputy Governor of Erbil also attended this invitation.

On March.4.2007, Helan conducted a workshop about "Cancelling Article 41 of the Iraqi Constitution & Activation of Personal Status Law".
As a result to this workshop, recommendations were presented to the Iraqi Kurdistan Parliament.

On March.18.2007, Helan conducted a workshop on "Awareness of Government Employees towards the principles of Human Rights". Representatives from several ministries of Iraqi Kurdistan regional government participated.

On March.20.2007, Helan conducted a workshop about "Advocacy and women affairs”. The attendants included activists in Human rights, representatives of local NGOs, Kurdistan Women Union, & of most of the parties & religions and sects.

During the period from July to Sept. 2007, Helan participated in a training course conducted by the NDI in three stages. The participants had the chance to meet women activists and organization members (Parliament members, journalists, UniFem), both in Iraq and Jordan.

On May.9.2007, Helan & the Iraqi red crescent provided aid to 30 individuals with special needs in Salahiddin District (30 kms far from Erbil city). The supplies included wheeled chairs, food supplies, clothes and other domestic supplies.
