 Helan is an independent, nonpartisan NGO works for the achievement of women and children rights.It aims to solidify family relations and remove all the obstacles which impede the existence of a happy and successful society. Women and Children's rights are the primary concern of Helan. Helan started it's activities during 2006. Young, but full of energy, Helan is insisting on achieving it's goals in helping the women and children of Iraq lead a better life. Helan Members of Board include Mrs.Sabriya Babker, director of Helan and a previous member of Women's Union Secretariat, has a lot of experience with feminine issues. Mrs.Hezha S. Bamarni, an activist in the field of women's rights, with an experience in working with local and international organizations, such as British MEDS, APS Italy, WFP (World Food Program), KSRO, Asuda Organization and others. Miss Aras Tawfiq, a great supporter to women and children's rights, has a lot of influence over Helan's work.
Vision A world where all types of discriminations against women are absent. A world where children's basic rights are fullfilled. A world where women can change the future. Mission Devloping the character of women and children of Iraq , as an important step in achieving their rights. Raising the level of national awareness towards women's major issues of interest.
